CrossLang, a consulting and systems integration company, needed to help its customer, language service provider Jonckers, overcome the challenge of making its proprietary machine translation engine easily accessible and less daunting for translators to use within the SDL Trados Studio software environment.

To create this seamless integration, CrossLang used the SDL AppStore developer program to build a custom plug-in that connected its CrossLang Gateway middleware to SDL Trados Studio. This solution automated key processes and allowed machine-translated segments to be clearly tagged. For Jonckers, the vendor's solution resulted in significant time savings, estimated at an average of 15 minutes per project, which adds up to an hour of saved time per person each day.
