A RWS Case Study
DDI is a global leadership development firm (founded 1970, headquartered in Pittsburgh, operating in 20+ countries) committed to inclusive learning. As customer expectations and accessibility legislation grew, DDI needed to accelerate its accessibility roadmap — moving beyond basic subtitles and template tweaks to achieve WCAG AA compliance across its digital learning platform — and sought an impartial, expert partner to assess gaps and set a practical remediation plan.
DDI partnered with RWS eLearning and Accessibility Services for a rigorous platform audit and remediation roadmap; RWS identified about 45 systemic accessibility gaps (five high-priority fixes), tested typical user journeys, and worked with DDI’s engineering and content teams on best practices. The engagement delivered SDH captions and enriched transcripts for video, updated templates and standards, internal training and accessibility champions, and a staged plan (targeted six-month fixes plus ongoing audits) to make DDI’s learning content more accessible worldwide.
