Case Study: Goodyear achieves centralized multilingual website management and faster time-to-market with RWS (SDL Tridion)

A RWS Case Study

Preview of the Goodyear Case Study

GoodYear - Customer Case Study

Goodyear, with products sold in more than 40 European countries, had grown into an online presence of over 120 websites in about 30 languages, creating a logistical nightmare for content updates and localization. The small EMEA web services team needed a way to centralize control while supporting three major brands (Goodyear, Dunlop, Fulda) and numerous country sites without ballooning headcount or delaying time to market.

Goodyear implemented SDL Tridion in 2005, using BluePrinting master sites and publications as language libraries, and later added SDL’s Translation Management System to automate translations and build a 29‑language translation memory and terminology database. The platform empowered business users to publish without IT, sped content uploads (previously took three weeks), extended to the US and B2B portals, and delivered faster time‑to‑market, consistent brand information and more efficient multilingual site management.
