WilTec Wildanger Technik GmbH is a German online mail-order company (approx. 175 employees) selling technical products across multiple markets with a portfolio of about 7,000 items. As the range and number of target languages grew, WilTec’s in‑house translation process — managed with shared Word files and no central terminology — became slow, inconsistent and labour‑intensive, making it hard to reuse content, control terminology and support remote collaboration.

WilTec implemented RWS Trados Team and Trados Terminology, a cloud-based translation and terminology platform that provides centralized translation memories, termbases, role-based access and an online editor. The change delivered faster, higher‑quality translations, systematic reuse of text modules, simpler project management and improved terminology consistency; translators now work more independently and productively, and the productivity gains offset the licensing costs.
