A RWS Case Study
Emirates, the Dubai-based global airline with more than 70 destinations worldwide, needed to roll out dozens of regional, multilingual websites (including double-byte languages such as Arabic and Japanese) while keeping content current and branding consistent. The challenge was to let regional offices update their own pages and empower non-technical users, yet retain centralized control over content and publishing.
Emirates implemented SDL Tridion, using its BluePrinting technology and XML-based architecture for fast integration and deployment (implemented in eight weeks), enabling centralized templates with local editing. The solution supported around 60 regional sites (and ultimately 70–80 group sites), integrated with the airline’s booking engine, extended to the intranet, improved governance and ease of use, and delivered expected TCO/ROI benefits.
