A RWS Case Study
CNH, a global leader in agricultural and construction equipment with about 11,000 dealers in 160 countries and 45 manufacturing sites, faced inconsistent, costly translation and fragmented access to technical repair knowledge that weakened dealer support and customer loyalty. The company needed a standardized, efficient global authoring and translation process to keep localized support accurate, timely and easily accessible.
By implementing an integrated SDL Global Information Management solution—including SDL TMS, intelligent Machine Translation (iMT), Global AMS, a centralized terminology repository and the ASIST knowledge base—CNH centralized content, automated quality checks and moved to XML authoring. The result: translation costs down 40% in three years, over 85% of dealer requests resolved via a multilingual self-service site, escalated enquiries cut from >50% to under 18%, faster turnaround and higher dealer satisfaction and loyalty.
