Best Western, the world's largest hotel chain, faced immense challenges in translating its web content for over 4,000 hotels into seven languages to better serve its international customers. The scale of over four million words and the need to manage continuous updates made time-to-market and cost major concerns. They partnered with vendor RWS to find a solution, which involved RWS's intelligent Machine Translation (iMT) and Translation Management System.
RWS implemented its iMT technology, which combined machine translation with post-editing by skilled linguists, all managed through its Translation Management System. This solution enabled Best Western to launch its multilingual websites in just eight months, cutting the projected timeline by more than half and achieving an estimated 50% cost savings compared to an in-house solution. The accurate and efficient translations contributed to increased guest satisfaction and positioned Best Western as an industry leader with localized web content.
