Case Study: DNV GL achieves centralized global content governance and taxonomy-driven dynamic delivery with RWS (Tridion Sites)

A RWS Case Study

Preview of the DNV GL Case Study

Automating dynamic content delivery through taxonomies

DNV GL, a global classification, certification and advisory organization founded in 1864, faced the challenge of unifying brand governance across more than 300 offices while preserving locally relevant content and managing multiple content management systems accumulated through acquisitions. The company needed a scalable, multilingual web platform to support a major rebrand, streamline content processes and improve findability and customer engagement across markets.

DNV GL implemented Tridion Sites with DXA and BluePrinting, using taxonomy-driven, component-based content and Instant Sites to dynamically assemble pages, personalize contacts by geolocation and integrate with backend CRM systems. In one year they consolidated five CMSs into one, relaunched 36 local sites in 18 languages, launched responsive microsites (including a digital annual report), doubled mobile traffic share, boosted SEO and conversions, and achieved greater operational efficiency and brand consistency.
