The IT Service Provider, a fast-growing IT modernization firm serving government and healthcare clients, wanted to strengthen its AI offerings and close a gap in how software requirements were captured from stakeholder conversations. It turned to RWS and its Technology Services team to help build an application that could extract requirements from audio and video recordings, improving on an existing chatbot/NLP solution RWS had already delivered.

RWS developed a browser-based web application that transcribes recordings, identifies speakers, summarizes conversations, flags questions and action items, and finds similarities with prior project requirements. Using tools such as Google Speech-to-Text, Gensim, Symbl.ai, TensorFlow, and Django/Angular, RWS created a user-friendly workflow that improved the reliability of requirements capture, saved time and costs, boosted productivity, and reduced risk by eliminating the need to review entire recordings manually.
