Building Blocks, a Dept agency and long‑standing SDL partner, worked with adidas to solve an inefficient campaign process. adidas was launching hundreds of largely one‑off “build and burn” digital campaigns with inconsistent integrations, manual translations, slow change cycles and high agency/development costs, often outside the brand’s CMS and IT processes.

Building Blocks implemented an SDL Web component framework with XPM, integrated translation management, containerized cloud infrastructure and an automated DevOps pipeline with end‑to‑end testing. The result: a predictable, reusable campaign kit of ~30 components powering 50+ campaign sites, faster self‑service creation by brand teams, consistent integrations and significantly reduced time and cost to launch and maintain campaigns.
