How Grofers Uses Rudderstack for Cross-platform Tracking

Grofers, a leading Indian online supermarket and delivery platform, faced the challenge of managing cross-platform customer event streams at massive scale — roughly 5–6 billion events per month — and turning that data into actionable insights. To address this, Grofers adopted RudderStack, using RudderStack SDKs for real-time data collection and the RudderStack Data Governance API for validation and routing across their stack (Amazon Redshift and S3).

RudderStack enabled Grofers to capture real-time customer events across multiple websites and mobile apps and deliver cleaned event streams to teams company-wide. With RudderStack, Grofers built behavior-based cohorts, ran A/B tests, powered a personalized recommendation engine, and improved marketing efficiency and conversions — all driven by the platform’s ability to handle billions of events per month and support product personalization and advanced merchandising use cases.
