Island Transit cuts parts inventory from 14 days to 1 with RTA

Island Transit, a public transit agency in Coupeville, Wash., faced a significant challenge with its parts inventory process. It took two staff members approximately 14 days to complete inventory for their more than 8,000 parts. This resulted in a dramatic reduction of 13 days from their original process, saving a substantial amount of labor and making the system pay for itself.
