Fleet Organization - Customer Case Study

Fleet Organization faced low vehicle availability, weak preventive maintenance compliance, and poor communication around down assets, with only 85% availability and 30% PM compliance. RTA was brought in to consult and serve as Interim Fleet Director, using its FMIS reporting tools and fleet expertise to address operational gaps and improve data quality.

RTA implemented bi-weekly customer communication, a “Not Available Vehicle” report, SOPs, staff training, proactive scheduling, and FMIS data cleanup and monitoring. Within four months, Fleet Organization reduced assets down daily from 81 to 55, improved vehicle availability by more than 32% to reach the 95% target, and raised PM compliance from 30% to 56%—an 87% improvement.
