City of Enumclaw Uses EFI to Achieve Accurate Records, PM

The City of Enumclaw, a King County, Washington municipality, maintains a fleet for public works and utilities and was manually entering odometer and fuel data into RTA Fleet Management Software. That monthly, time-consuming process led to data-entry errors, inaccurate fuel-cost estimates by hundreds of dollars, and missed preventative maintenance because odometer readings were only updated once a month.

Enumclaw implemented RTA’s Electronic Fuel Interface (EFI) to automatically load fuel and mileage data from fuel systems into RTA. The city immediately gained accuracy—reconciling months “down to the penny”—cut data-entry time to minutes, now loads data weekly, and can pre-schedule preventative maintenance from current odometer readings, making the shop run smoother and more efficiently.
