Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) faced fragmented, paper‑and‑spreadsheet volunteer processes across multiple campuses that couldn’t meet the expectations of a tech‑native student body. DUSA implemented a white‑labelled Rosterfy portal to centralise recruitment, rostering and automated communications, making it intuitive for students and reducing duplicate records and manual admin. The result: volunteering engagement doubled within six months (about 350 students used the portal so far this year), improved retention and cross‑stream participation, and significant staff time savings—freeing staff to focus on higher‑value projects.
