Vodafone, a global telecommunications company, partnered with vendor Rocktime to overcome the challenge of managing its annual 'World of Difference UK programme'. The competition, run by The Vodafone Foundation, was previously administered manually using spreadsheets, a process that was inefficient for handling hundreds of candidate applications and the judging process.

Rocktime developed a custom database-driven Bursary Award System to streamline the entire workflow. The solution allowed candidates to register and submit information online, enabled judges to review and rate applicants remotely, and automated email correspondence and candidate verification. This system implemented by Rocktime has been used successfully year-on-year, allowing Vodafone to run the competition effectively and fairly for the benefit of the foundation and its applicants.
