Oktra, an office design firm led by Lorna Killick, needed a way to safely reopen their London HQ and support a long-term flexible working strategy after the pandemic forced the office to close. Their previous desk-booking tool required full-day bookings and provided no utilization data, so Oktra partnered with Robin for desk booking, return-to-office tools, and the Robin analytics dashboard to understand and manage how people were using space.
Robin’s desk-booking system and analytics gave Oktra live and historical views of desk usage, contact-tracing data, floor-by-floor availability, and easy reporting for building occupancy. The solution let Oktra enforce social distancing, speed up occupancy reporting, and optimize space usage—occupancy rose from 23 to 58 people (over 150%) as rules changed—while revealing preferences (e.g., first-floor monitor-equipped desks) that inform real estate and workplace decisions.
