Opencast, a technology consulting company, needed to rethink its office strategy as it grew from 110 employees to around 350 and shifted to a hybrid model. Its old headquarters was too small, lacked enough desks and meeting space, and relied on a spreadsheet to manage bookings, making it hard to ensure employees had a place to work when they came in. Opencast turned to Robin to find a better way to manage desk and room reservations and support a more intentional workplace.
Robin implemented a workplace management platform that integrated with Office 365, simplified desk booking, and provided analytics, announcements, surveys, and health checkpoints. Implementation was quick and self-serve, and the rollout was seamless across the organization. With Robin, Opencast now manages 10 collaboration spaces and 50 desks in Newcastle, with office occupancy often at 40-60% on 10 of 22 monthly working days, frequently exceeding 70% and sometimes reaching 100%.
