A Rippling Case Study

Preview of the Trash Butler Case Study

Trash Butler reduces onboarding time and cuts new hire ‘ghosting’ by 21%

Trash Butler, a U.S. field-services company scaling rapidly during the pandemic, was hamstrung by Paylocity’s limited integrations, clunky UI, and payroll constraints that created manual work, onboarding errors, and high candidate “ghosting.” To solve this, Trash Butler chose Rippling and adopted Rippling’s onboarding, Time & Attendance, payroll, and QuickBooks Online integration to replace their old HR/payroll stack.

Rippling implemented streamlined, role-based onboarding flows, automated compliance and time tracking, multi–cost-center payroll, and broad integrations, cutting time spent on HR & IT tasks by 75%, reducing payroll runs from several hours to under one hour, and enabling 75% of new joiners to complete paperwork within 72 hours. The simpler process also reduced candidate ghosting from 55% to 43% (a 12-point drop) and supported Trash Butler across 500 locations.
