A Ribbon Communications Case Study
Telus Communications, Canada’s second-largest communications provider, wanted to virtualize and automate its network orchestration to improve customer service and enable same-day delivery of complex network services. As part of this effort, Telus turned to Ribbon Communications and initially focused on Session Border Control platforms to make carrier peering more dynamic and support least-cost routing for international traffic.
Ribbon Communications delivered virtual, cloud-native SBCs that met Telus’s application requirements and were selected for their performance and scalability. The broader Ribbon NFV portfolio, including policy and routing, management, and virtual network function tools, helped support Telus’s move toward a more automated network, though the case study does not cite specific numeric results.
