Technology firm raises awareness for mental health in the workplace through launch of new wellbeing strategy, leading to a 26% decrease in sickness absences

Trayport, a 260-employee technology firm, faced rising sickness absence, stress-related cases and stigma around mental health that left its free Employee Assistance Programme underused. To tackle these issues and better support remote staff, Trayport partnered with Reward Gateway and adopted its employee wellbeing platform, including the Wellbeing Centre online portal, as part of a new “Reboot + Recharge” strategy.

Reward Gateway helped Trayport pilot and scale the Reboot + Recharge programme—nine lunchtime talks, weekly yoga, and a suite of mindfulness, nutrition and mental‑health resources accessible via the Wellbeing Centre—resulting in a 26% reduction in sickness absence, a 49% increase in programme attendance in 2019, 158 EAP portal hits (with two calls and one counselling case), and average activity ratings of 4.5/5; the programme is now embedded in Trayport’s culture.
