Southern New Hampshire University reduces voluntary turnover with a distributed workforce

Southern New Hampshire University, a distributed workforce of about 4,800 full-time and part-time employees across 33 states, needed a better way to manage employee recognition and belonging. Before working with Reward Gateway, its recognition efforts were spread across more than 200 separate programs without centralized oversight.

Using Reward Gateway’s Shine platform, SNHU centralized employee recognition, communications, service milestones, and employee networks in one place. The university reported over 42,500 recognition moments in a year, 95% employee retention, 95% active users, and a 3.6% reduction in voluntary turnover, while also distributing almost 2,000 service awards annually.
