The Lifetime Way, a North American healthcare organization serving more than 15 million people, wanted to build a consistent culture and become an even better place to work by linking employee engagement to business performance. To do this they partnered with Reward Gateway, using its strategic recognition platform and employee surveys to create and promote a unified set of behaviors and values called The Lifetime Way.

Reward Gateway helped define seven measurable values, launched The Lifetime Way System for recognition and knowledge-sharing, and implemented semi-annual engagement surveys. The program drove strong adoption (94% of managers and 77% of employees using the platform in one year), produced 10,000 engagement stories, improved Great Place to Work scores by 13%, and coincided with improved financials — net income rising to 1.7% on $6 billion premium revenue (from 1.1%) and a $63 million reduction in administrative expenses leading to $99.5 million net income — while breaking down silos and raising engagement year over year.
