Machinery hire company introduces tailored eCards to employee engagement platform, sees 23% decrease in turnover

Height for Hire, a global machinery hire company with 203 employees working across 25 locations, faced low engagement from a mostly offline, dispersed workforce and poor satisfaction scores (6.2/10) alongside a high turnover rate (35%). To address this, Height for Hire partnered with Reward Gateway and adopted Reward Gateway’s employee engagement platform, The Hub, to build a recognition strategy that would unite and value staff across regions.

Reward Gateway implemented tailored eCards (automated birthday cards and personalized holiday and recognition cards), peer-to-peer leaderboards and communications to drive adoption; managers reinforced use through posters, emails and meetings. The Hub saw more than 4,400 eCards sent (1,423 in year one), helped grow headcount from 185 to 203, and reduced turnover from 35% to 12% (a 23% decrease), while making recruitment easier by promoting a discounts and recognition package.
