Case Study: Travis Perkins achieves 43% take-up among contacted retirees and boosts engagement with Reward Gateway’s Your Perks platform

A Reward Gateway Case Study

Preview of the Travis Perkins Case Study

Large builders merchant reaches nearly half of its retired employee population with tailored platform

Travis Perkins, a large builders merchant with 28,000 employees and a widespread retired population, faced a GDPR-driven communications challenge: retired employee records were kept on historic paper and spreadsheets, making secure data storage, consent and contact difficult for the Retired Employee Association (REA). Already partnered with Reward Gateway through its myPerks benefits platform, Travis Perkins sought a way to re-establish links with retirees while meeting data-compliance requirements.

Working with Reward Gateway, Travis Perkins launched "Your Perks," a retired-employee sister site using myPerks branding that provides employee discounts (including Wickes and Toolstation offers), blogs, TP News and eCards, with regional organisers given publishing access and membership approved case-by-case. The Reward Gateway platform made the REA GDPR-compliant and self-sufficient and drove strong engagement: 867 of the 2,000 retirees contacted (43%) registered in the first six months; eCard sends grew from 111 in two months to 556 by May 2019; registered members spent over £83,000 and saved nearly £7,000.
