A Reward Gateway Case Study

How Kettle Foods uses its engagement platform to connect and recognize a dispersed, offline demographic

Kettle Foods, an international snack manufacturer with about 430 employees across three UK sites, faced a challenge engaging a largely offline, dispersed workforce with an outdated, HQ‑centric rewards system that lacked peer‑to‑peer recognition, customisation, or immediacy. Seeking an agile platform that could also centralise communications and documents, Kettle Foods selected Reward Gateway’s employee engagement platform to bring their Employee Value Proposition to life.

Reward Gateway implemented a branded hub called “Kettle Kitchen,” customised to Kettle’s identity, featuring a three‑level reward system (peer‑to‑peer, perk cards, monetary rewards), employee discounts and a central communications and document repository. Within a year 93% of staff registered, 83% had sent/received recognition, over 300 eCards were sent, employees saved £16,500 in discounts, and HR cut significant admin time—demonstrating Reward Gateway’s measurable impact on engagement, recognition and operational efficiency.
