How Ergon fostered a culture of employee wellbeing and connection

Ergon, a family-owned manufacturing company headquartered in Flowood, Mississippi, wanted to do more to support employee health and wellbeing. In 2020, its Ergon Terminaling team looked for a practical, cost-effective way to encourage employees to be more physically active and planned a pilot that could later expand across the wider company. Ergon chose Reward Gateway’s employee wellbeing solution for the program.

Ergon launched the wellbeing app as Ergon Active in early 2022, with branding support, curated content, and Fitbit devices provided to employees who needed them. The program expanded from the initial target to more than 540 participants across the group in less than two years, a 2,600% increase on the initial user target. Ergon said Reward Gateway helped create a greater sense of community and connection across its locations, while employees shared feedback about being more active, losing weight, and feeling healthier.
