Enterprise travel and transport hub refreshes benefits brand to increase usage by 65% and better educate employees on total reward

Transport For London, a 24,000‑employee public transport operator, was struggling to make employees value its reward offering despite a long‑standing partnership with Reward Gateway and the myTfL discounts and salary‑sacrifice services. Although 90% of staff were registered, only 22% visited monthly, so TfL needed to raise awareness and better educate employees on total reward with no extra budget.

Reward Gateway upgraded TfL to its employee engagement hub and helped relaunch communications with bold branding, simplified hub navigation, frequent campaigns, depot digital signage and targeted promotions (eg. Cycle to Work prize draws). The initiative drove a 65% increase in monthly users (81% unique users over 12 months), a 20% rise in monthly discount spend to £1.5m, a 6% increase in employee savings to £1.7m, 13,650 average monthly orders, a 25% jump in Cycle to Work applications and a 200% increase in dental insurance uptake.
