Digital services industry leader uses strategic communications to earn 75% employee engagement

Atos, a digital services leader with 9,600 employees across 238 UK & Ireland locations, faced feedback from a 2013 Great Place to Work survey that employees wanted more visible appreciation from management and opportunities for everyone to be recognised. To create an inclusive, company-wide recognition program beyond existing bonuses and service lunches, Atos partnered with Reward Gateway and used its employee benefits/recognition platform, Prosper, to deliver peer-to-peer and scheduled recognition tools.

Reward Gateway implemented scheduled eCards, Accolades, an Accolade Hall of Fame, and a month-long Recognition Month (including Interflora gifts and the Atos Star award) with peer nominations, published winners and senior leader recognition. The program drove clear results: 2,860 eCards sent in the first year (628 during Recognition Month), 640 new Prosper registrations (a 26% engagement uplift) and 828 votes in the Atos Star competition, helping Atos build a stronger culture of saying thank you.
