Single-unit Vitaly Streamlines Accounting and Saves $550 a Month on Accountant Fees with Restaurant365

Vitaly Caffé, a single-unit Italian café in Costa Mesa founded by Maurizio and Barbara Cocchi, was juggling QuickBooks, Micros, and a separate operations system with manual exports and time-consuming bank reconciliation. The patchwork approach made monthly closes slow and expensive—an outside accountant was charging $800/month—and Mr. Cocchi needed an integrated accounting solution that would link directly to his POS. He chose Restaurant365, a cloud-based restaurant management platform for accounting, scheduling, inventory and reporting.

Restaurant365 was implemented and integrated with Vitaly’s POS, automating sales and labor feeds, simplifying bank reconciliation, and enabling multi-level AP approvals and faster month-end closes. As a result, accounting fees dropped from $800 to $250 per month (a $550 monthly savings), books are routinely closed by the 15th, and tax returns were completed by January 15; Mr. Cocchi also gains real-time P&L and menu analysis and plans to expand use of Restaurant365 for inventory, ordering, and scheduling.
