Kabob House Slashes Prime Costs by 11% with Restaurant365

Kabob House, a Mediterranean restaurant group growing from a single Yakima location to six sites, struggled to scale with a PC-based accounting tool (AccountEdge) that required manual data entry and lacked operations, scheduling, POS and bank integration. Needing an all‑in‑one, cloud solution, they evaluated options and selected Restaurant365’s integrated platform for accounting, operations and scheduling (recommended by their POS vendor, Toast).

Restaurant365 was implemented with POS integration, AP automation, bank reconciliation and robust reporting (including Menu Item Analysis), which delivered clear operational and financial visibility. As a result, Kabob House cut prime costs from 72% of sales to 61% (an 11‑point improvement), reduced labor roughly 5% (from about 40–46% to 35–38%) and lowered food costs by 6% (32% to 26%), saved about 650 accounting hours per year, recovered $200–$300/month in vendor overcharges, stopped duplicate paycheck deposits, and enabled rapid expansion (three new locations in nine months) — outcomes attributed directly to Restaurant365.
