Dish Society Gains $300,000 in Profits a Year

Dish Society, a two-location farm-to-table restaurant in Houston, needed an end-to-end back-office solution that integrated with their Aloha POS to replace QuickBooks and a manual inventory system. Restaurant365 was brought in to provide an integrated suite for accounting, inventory, labor management and hiring that would automate POS data collection, inventory valuations and financial reporting.

Restaurant365 was implemented in both locations in June 2015 to handle POS polling, daily sales reporting, inventory control, food-cost analysis, GL posting, time & attendance, scheduling and applicant tracking. The system cut month‑end financial close from 30–45 days to about 3 days, automated reconciliation/GL posting, and enabled managers to monitor actual vs. theoretical costs—resulting in an average 5% reduction in controllable food and labor costs per store and an estimated $300,000 annual profit improvement.
