Hideaway Pizza, voted Oklahoma’s best pizza, was struggling with time-consuming, error-prone manual scheduling: managers built schedules in Excel, posted them in stores, and handled shift swaps and time-off requests by written notes or phone calls. To modernize workforce management, Hideaway piloted Restaurant365’s Advantage Workforce in three of its twelve locations to integrate scheduling with back-office operations and reduce labor inefficiencies.
Restaurant365’s Advantage Workforce automated scheduling and introduced an employee portal and mobile access so staff can view schedules and submit shift changes or time-off requests online, eliminating written and verbal requests and in-store postings. As a result, Hideaway brought kitchen labor down to projected levels (a roughly 5% improvement), saved managers considerable time and headaches, and streamlined labor controls across the pilot stores.
