A Restaurant365 Case Study
Acme Oyster House, a 4-unit Louisiana-style seafood chain, faced growing difficulty tracking inventory, purchasing and usage after expanding from one location to four. Already using Great Plains for accounting, they needed to move off Excel spreadsheets to a full inventory system and selected Restaurant365’s Compeat Back Office solution to gain better inventory control and reporting.
Restaurant365 implemented Compeat Back Office’s inventory and reporting modules, which revealed portioning and ordering problems; Acme corrected recipe execution through retraining and standardized vendor pricing with centralized price enforcement. As a result, Acme lowered food costs by 3%–5% across the board and reduced overall COGS by 2½ points, achieving measurable savings and tighter operational control.
