A Resolve Software Group Case Study
Victim Assist Queensland is the Queensland Government scheme established to help victims of violent crime access financial assistance, information and support services. Faced with new legislation that came into force on 1 December 2009, the organisation needed a highly configurable case management system on a tight deadline to support assessors, case managers, Victims LinkUp staff, regional support, complaint handling, offender debt recovery and complex workflows, financial rules, interfaces, reporting and security requirements.
Victim Assist selected Resolve for its rapid deployability and configurability and implemented the system largely in‑house with Resolve providing quality checks; the solution went live on time and on budget on 1 December 2009. By March 2011 the system had recorded 15,000 Victims LinkUp contacts, assessed 1,700 financial assistance applications resulting in 2,800 payments totalling $7.1M, logged nearly 600 training/community activities and begun recovery processes against 915 offenders, while providing 190 reports to help monitor and improve services.
