Barnsdale Lodge Hotel, a 250+-year-old hotel and restaurant in Rutland, was operating reservations from a large pen-and-paper diary, which led to overbooking, staff inefficiencies and no captured customer data for marketing or repeat-guest service. To modernize bookings and start building a guest database they signed up to ResDiary’s online reservation system in December 2016.

ResDiary configured a digital diary, provided staged setup and training, and enabled multi-user access plus yield-management tools that removed booking bottlenecks and made staffing and service planning far more predictable. Barnsdale Lodge now captures guest emails and preferences automatically, reports more consistent service levels, no longer runs between booking locations, and has greater control over bookings and customer data since adopting ResDiary.
