How the Nevada Highway Patrol is proactively managing traffic

Nevada Highway Patrol, along with RTC and FAST in Southern Nevada, needed a better way to share real-time incident information across agencies. Before working with Rekor Systems, Inc., officers relied mainly on 911 calls routed through CAD, which often led to delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete incident reports.

Rekor Systems, Inc. implemented its Roadway Monitoring & Response platform, giving NHP a cloud-based shared view of incidents, live traffic conditions, and CCTV footage across mobile devices and desktops. The solution helped identify crashes about 9 minutes earlier than the existing CAD system for 10.66% of crash incidents, improved coordination with partner agencies, and gave officers better context to respond faster and more safely.
