How the Mt. Juliet Police Department improves community safety

The Mt. Juliet Police Department in Tennessee turned to Rekor Systems, Inc. as vehicle burglaries and thefts rose across the Nashville region and offenders began fleeing into suburban Mt. Juliet. The department needed an ALPR solution to help protect residents, apprehend criminals, and explain the value of the technology to the community.

Rekor Systems, Inc. deployed the Guardian Shield Program using Rekor Edge Max cameras and Rekor Scout software at 37 key entrances and exits across the city, with the web-based system designed for easy use by officers. The results were significant: Mt. Juliet saw crime drop by up to 48% in some areas, and the department recorded and acted on dozens of alerts, including 81 stolen cars, 41 stolen plates, 23 wanted persons, and the capture of a murder suspect. Building on that success, the department later added 11 more cameras, bringing the total to 50 Rekor-powered systems.
