Case Study: Oklahoma District Attorneys Council reduces uninsured vehicles with Rekor Contactless Compliance

A Rekor Systems, Inc. Case Study

Preview of the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council Case Study

How Oklahoma increased car insurance enrollment and made their roads safer

The Oklahoma District Attorneys Council partnered with Rekor Systems, Inc. to address Oklahoma’s high rate of uninsured motorists through the Oklahoma Uninsured Vehicle Enforcement Diversion (UVED) Program. The state needed a more effective way to identify uninsured drivers, reduce the burden on insured motorists, and replace an underperforming previous vendor.

Rekor Systems, Inc. implemented its cloud-based Contactless Compliance application as part of Rekor One Public Safety, along with field-installed optical sensors, AI-powered recognition software, training, and notice management. The results were significant: average UVED enrollments increased to 84 per day from 18 under the prior vendor, and uninsured vehicles in Oklahoma dropped from over 350,000 to just under 200,000.
