Preview of the Ayalon Highways Case Study

How Ayalon Highways is making transportation safer in Israel

Netivei Ayalon (Ayalon Highways), a government transportation company in Tel Aviv, Israel, manages one of the country’s most heavily trafficked roads, Route 20, where frequent crashes, hazards, and construction-related lane reductions create major delays and safety risks. The company needed a way to know in real time what was happening on the roadway and to dispatch Freeway Service Patrols faster to reduce the chance of additional incidents and injuries.

Rekor Systems, Inc. deployed its Roadway Monitoring & Response (RMR) solution in Ayalon Highways’ traffic management center to connect multiple data feeds and send real-time alerts to both the control room and FSP teams. The system gave responders immediate details such as incident type, number of vehicles, and affected lanes, reducing reliance on phone calls and improving response time; it also centralized event logging and reporting. Ayalon Highways said the platform became one of its main control-room systems and helped FSPs respond to 100 to 2,000 events each month, with improved location accuracy and more useful operational data.
