Monarch Airlines, a leading UK independent travel group, faced siloed customer data, limited visibility across devices and channels, and the need to boost digital conversion and revenue while personalising communications. They selected RedEye for a market-leading database and marketing automation partnership (including RedEye’s Contour platform, Data Insight and Conversion Rate Optimisation services) to create a single customer view and make data the centre of their marketing strategy.
RedEye unified Monarch’s data, tagged the website, implemented behavioural and dynamic-content emails, provided ongoing data insight and ran CRO tests. The results were substantial: dynamic-content campaigns averaged a 56.53% open rate, delivered a >6% click-to-sale conversion (≈6,000 bookings in two months) and an ROI of 17,257%; an upsell programme drove an ROI of 17,969% with almost 90% of extras bought in the 30 days before departure; lapsing-customer emails converted at 12.26% with a 2,425% ROI and 1.6x re-engagement; site tests lifted revenue per visitor by 9.24%, increased air-pack uptake by 180% and baggage uptake by 70%.
