World of Books Group, a global seller of quality used books, faced rapidly changing customer behaviour during the COVID-19 lockdown and needed to maintain engagement, personalise communications, and adapt product messaging in real time to protect customer loyalty and lifetime value. To meet this challenge they worked with RedEye, using the RedEye platform to bring transactional, onsite browse and social data together for more responsive email marketing.
RedEye enabled dynamic, data-driven email campaigns that combined historical and real-time customer data, social listening and product review insights to segment audiences and personalise subject lines and creative. The results were a 315% year‑on‑year increase in revenue from email, an 85.4% rise in engagement, a 72% jump in educational-title sales in the first week of lockdown (math and science up 50% week‑on‑week), and open and unique click rates up ~79% and 85.4% versus 2019, demonstrating RedEye’s impact on conversions and long-term customer value.
