Butlins, a leading holiday provider, had removed a gated digital guide from its site in late 2015 and saw a drop in email data capture. To recover sign-ups they partnered with RedEye, using RedEye’s CRO expertise to explore new ways to drive newsletter opt-ins on mobile.

RedEye implemented a mobile newsletter pop-up targeted to returning visitors (via a cookie) and timed to appear within five seconds of landing, with mobile-friendly design choices (buttons for selection) and a discount code incentive. The campaign produced a 2,618% uplift in newsletter sign-ups, demonstrating that RedEye’s simple, user-focused pop-up substantially improved opt-in rates.
