A RedEye Case Study

Preview of the Oddschecker Case Study

A/B Testing leads to an increase in website sign-ups of 81.73%

Oddschecker, the leading online betting odds comparison service, discovered via user testing by RedEye that their sign-up and log-in CTAs had poor visibility, limiting registrations. To address this, Oddschecker enlisted RedEye and used Optimizely for a UX-driven conversion rate optimisation programme focused on improving CTA prominence and sign-up flows.

RedEye moved the sign-up/log-in options out of a dropdown into prominent navigation links, reduced the search field to accommodate them, and A/B tested two variants (direct sign-up page vs overlay) with Optimizely. Variation 1 (link to a full sign-up page) delivered a 406.4% uplift in CTA clicks (99% confidence) and an 81.73% increase in sign-ups (80% confidence); the overlay variant produced smaller sign-up gains. Following RedEye’s testing, Oddschecker implemented the winning CTA redesign.
