Heathrow Airport - Customer Case Study

Heathrow Airport needed a modern replacement for its aging Flight Information Hub, which had become difficult to enhance and costly to host. Working with Redcentric and its cloud hosting/professional services, the airport wanted a more flexible, scalable platform that could improve functionality while reducing costs.

Redcentric designed and delivered a new Microsoft Azure-based solution with active-active multi-region resilience, proactive monitoring, serverless deployment, and improved data integration. The platform launched in May 2020, all subscribers were migrated, and legacy systems were retired by July 2020, cutting hosting costs by 85%, managed service costs by 35%, and overall Opex by 64% while improving scalability and future-readiness.
