Telefónica Global Solutions chooses Red Hat to plan for its cloud future

Telefónica Global Solutions, part of Telefonica, needed to improve efficiency and control over infrastructure deployments as its manual provisioning process was slowing growth. Working with Red Hat, the company looked for a multi-vendor cloud platform that could integrate with its existing virtualized environment without replacing what was already in place, using products including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat Satellite, and Red Hat CloudForms.

Red Hat implemented a private cloud and IaaS platform that automated virtual machine provisioning, standardized processes, and improved self-service for internal users. The result was a dramatic reduction in deployment time: what previously took several days could now be completed in less than 10 minutes after approval, while also lowering operating costs and improving flexibility for future cloud expansion.
