Waiakea, a sustainable Hawaiian volcanic water brand, faced the challenge of scaling its DTC business and increasing lifetime value in a crowded food & beverage market by educating consumers enough to try and then subscribe. Working with agency MuteSix, Waiakea brought in Recharge to deploy a subscription solution—shifting from on‑demand to auto‑pay—to convert one‑time purchasers into recurring customers.
MuteSix rebuilt paid channels (Google, Facebook) and email flows while Recharge implemented the subscription flow and improved subscription attribution. The combined approach used optimized shopping campaigns, varied creative, dedicated landing pages, post‑purchase upsells and winback series, resulting in a 172% increase in new subscriptions, a 178% increase in overall revenue, and a 30% decrease in Google CPAs — giving Waiakea dependable recurring revenue and more accurate LTV-based attribution.
