Progressive Nutracare, a supplement brand with a brick-and-mortar doctor’s office and an online store, needed to migrate from an end-of-life ecommerce platform to Shopify and add a subscription option so patients could auto-refill prescription supplements. The Taproom Agency led the migration and recommended implementing a subscription billing integration using Recharge to make recurring orders a central part of the redesigned Shopify storefront.
Using Recharge to power Shopify subscriptions, Progressive Nutracare launched in March 2018 and was profitable on its first order four days after launch. Subscriptions rose from 9.8% of orders at 30 days to 14.8% at 90 days and now drive 45.6% of revenue; average order value has topped $101 and recurring revenue exceeded $20,000 within nine months. Recharge-enabled subscriptions boosted retention, customer satisfaction, and long-term revenue for Progressive Nutracare.
