Hubble is a direct-to-consumer, subscription-only contact lens brand that launched in November 2016 offering FDA-approved daily lenses for $30/month. Facing venture-backed pressure to optimize conversions and build strong analytics, Hubble needed a one-page subscription checkout (eliminating cart pages) and custom reporting; to meet those needs the company implemented Recharge for subscription management and API-driven integrations.
Using Recharge’s APIs alongside a separate doctor-verification API, Hubble built a custom JavaScript cart, a streamlined one-page checkout, automated pre-delivery email notifications, and a daily retention reporting pipeline that feeds SQL reporting. By leveraging Recharge, Hubble acquired over 17,000 customers in the first three months, processes more than 600 orders per day, and increased its run rate by $1MM each month, becoming the fastest-growing contact lens brand in the country.
