Freshly Picked, a maker of handmade leather shoes and accessories for babies, children and mothers, wanted to convert its large following into repeat customers and keep them engaged. To do this they launched The Fringe, a VIP subscription membership that offers monthly store credit, discounts and early access to products — and selected ReCharge to power the complex recurring-billing and API integrations required to run the program.

ReCharge handled the subscription billing, integrations and subscription/revenue tracking (working alongside Swell for loyalty), enabling The Fringe to scale quickly: more than 10,000 members in the first three months, half of whom were first-time Freshly Picked customers, an industry-leading 3% churn (97% month-over-month retention) and an average subscription length of 5.5 months. ReCharge’s platform made the membership model operationally smooth and measurable, driving strong retention and growth.
